We are thrilled to invite you to an exciting event that brings together Matomo experts from around the world! And to make this event even more special, we are organizing a Matomo plugin development competition that is open to everyone!
The competition provides a unique opportunity for you to showcase your development skills and creativity by creating an innovative plugin for the Matomo platform. Whether you are an experienced developer or an enthusiastic beginner, we encourage you to participate and demonstrate what you’re capable of. Competition is open to everyone!
The competition starts on August the 9th 2023 (almost 3 months before MatomoCamp).
How to participate?
Register before October the 31th 2023 for the MatomoCamp Developer Competition at this url https://matomocamp.org/contact-us/ using the subject “MatomoCamp Developer Competition”.
Build your plugin following the Matomo Guidelines https://developer.matomo.org.
Submit your plugin before the submission deadline (October the 31th 2023) to the following email address team@matomocamp.org (You can send a public Git repository url).
The winners will be announced at the end of MatomoCamp on November the 10th.

Feel free to create the Matomo plugin you wish for this competition, to give you a shortlist of ideas:

Evaluation criterias
The plugin should follow Matomo developers guidelines
- The plugin should be well documented
- The plugin should be under Open Source / MIT license
- The plugin should match GDPR rules
- The plugin is not a copycat of an existing plugin
- The plugin should be compatible with the latest Matomo version
- The most important criteria will be the value added plugin to the Matomo community
Winner prizes
There will be three winners for this competition:
- First place : 200€ + Premium bundle (unlimited users / 1 year)
- Second place : 150€ + Growth bundle (unlimited users / 1 year)
- Third place : 50€ + Content optimization bundle (unlimited users / 1 year)
